Role Description The Dietary Aide is a full-time, on-site role based in Baltimore, MD. This position supports the dietary department by assisting with food preparation according to menus and dietary guidelines, portioning meals, and ensuring accurate meal delivery to residents. The Dietary Aide sets up and breaks down dining areas, serves food in a courteous manner, and maintains cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. The role includes following nutrition and safety standards, storing food properly, and collaborating with nursing and dietary staff to address resident needs, preferences, and special diets.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in food preparation and basic nutrition to support safe, appropriate meals for residents.
• Candidates should possess skills in food service and customer service to provide respectful, timely, and friendly support to residents and guests.
• Candidates should possess skills in dishwashing and general kitchen sanitation to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including diet orders and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management in a fast-paced care setting.
• Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or food service environment is beneficial.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift light to moderate loads throughout the shift, with adherence to safe work practices.
