Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud platform strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Lead a team of engineers and developers in the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-based solutions.
• Oversee operations and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with product roadmaps.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities.
• Establish policies and procedures for cloud governance and compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with cloud service providers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices throughout the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud platform engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of security principles and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud computing.

Technologies & Tools

The Director, Cloud Platform will work with a variety of technologies and tools including cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker), configuration management (Terraform, Ansible), as well as monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
