Great Place To Work® Certified™ (May 2026 – May 2027)

We're proud to be Great Place To Work® Certified™ — a recognition based entirely on what our own team had to say. In a confidential, independent survey, the vast majority of our employees told us MediVera is a great place to work (specifically, 92% of our team says MediVera is a great place to work), that they're proud to work here, and that they feel safe, respected, and welcomed. That's the culture you'd be joining.

Job Overview

The Fulfillment Operations Manager owns the engine room of MediVera's patient experience — the point where a verified prescription becomes a package in a patient's hands. This role is built for someone who has run high-volume fulfillment before and knows what disciplined, metrics-driven operations actually look like — the kind of precision you'd expect from a high-volume fulfillment center or a large distribution hub, applied to a 503A compounding pharmacy where accuracy is not just an efficiency metric, it is patient safety.

This is a two-shift, high-throughput operation, and this role owns its performance — the workflow design, the staffing model, the label and patient verification process, and the daily discipline required to hit throughput goals consistently, day after day, without sacrificing accuracy.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has genuinely run a fulfillment floor before and is ready to bring that expertise to an operation that is scaling fast.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own full operational performance of the mailroom and fulfillment department — packing, pack-out, label application, and patient verification — across a two-shift, high-throughput operation.
  • Continuously improve throughput and processing time through workflow design, staffing optimization, and process discipline — without ever compromising accuracy. Taking Pride in Everything You Do means speed and quality are never traded against each other.
  • Design, document, and continuously refine fulfillment workflows — pack stations, label verification checkpoints, and patient-matching protocols — using the same rigor you'd expect from a best-in-class distribution center.
  • Own label accuracy and patient verification as non-negotiable quality checkpoints, implementing redundant verification steps that catch errors before a package ships, because a mislabeled prescription is never just an efficiency problem.
  • Build and manage daily staffing plans that match labor to volume across both shifts in real time — knowing how many people you need on the line at the start of a shift versus the end, and adjusting before a backlog happens, not after.
  • Track and report key fulfillment metrics daily — throughput, processing time, error rates, and on-time ship rate — and use that data to drive continuous improvement rather than simply reporting it. Embracing a Growth Mindset means today's performance target is a floor to build from, not a ceiling to defend.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the fulfillment team — setting clear performance expectations, training to the standard, and holding the team accountable to both speed and accuracy benchmarks. Working Your Hardest means leading from the floor and setting the pace you expect from the team
  • Identify and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, or automation opportunities that increase throughput and reduce error rates, bringing the same innovation mindset that defines modern fulfillment operations.
  • Manage inventory flow through the fulfillment area, partnering with supply chain and lab operations to ensure packaging materials, shipping supplies, and labels are always in stock and never a bottleneck.
  • Partner closely with Customer Service, Lab Operations, and the Pharmacist team to ensure a seamless handoff from verified prescription to shipped package, resolving issues at the source rather than downstream. Displaying Positive Team Spirit means fulfillment never operates in a silo.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient physical workspace that supports sustained high-volume output without burning out the team running it. Respect for All means every person on the floor, on either shift, has what they need to do the job safely.
  • Monitor shipping carrier performance and relationships, ensuring packages ship on time and any carrier-related issues are resolved quickly.
  • Report regularly to the Director of Customer Service on throughput, accuracy, staffing needs, and operational risk — with the same candor and data discipline this role demands of the floor.

Attributes & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience leading a high-volume fulfillment, distribution, or mailroom operation — genuine expertise is required, not aspiration. Experience in a large fulfillment center, or distribution center, pharmacy mail order, or a comparable high-throughput environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and improving per-unit processing time in a high-volume environment, with real numbers to show for it.
  • Deep understanding of pack-out operations, label verification systems, and quality checkpoints designed to catch errors at scale.
  • Strong data fluency — comfortable building staffing models around volume forecasts and using daily metrics to drive decisions, not just report results.
  • Proven people leadership skills — you know how to hold a team to an aggressive standard while keeping them engaged, not burned out.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a bias toward continuous improvement — you are never satisfied with “good enough” when the data shows room to improve.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, physically active environment with real daily throughput pressure.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment (healthcare, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical fulfillment) is a strong advantage given the patient safety stakes of this role.
