About the Role

NextGen Coding Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack / Systems) with extensive experience building and maintaining production software across different industries and technology stacks.

This role involves taking ownership of complex engineering work, from system architecture and technical planning through implementation, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate can work independently, adapt quickly to unfamiliar technologies, troubleshoot challenging technical problems, and deliver reliable software in a consulting environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

● Architect, design, and build scalable production software systems.

● Develop full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.

● Build APIs, data pipelines, automation systems, and internal tools.

● Contribute to system architecture and technical planning for client projects.

● Deliver production-quality code with minimal supervision.

● Review code and maintain engineering standards.

● Debug and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.

● Collaborate with delivery managers, QA professionals, and designers to deliver reliable software.

● Document system designs, architectural decisions, and implementation details.

Required Qualifications and Experience

● At least 10 years of professional software development experience.

● Experience delivering multiple production systems across different industries.

● Strong full-stack engineering experience across frontend and backend technologies.

● Experience designing system architecture and scalable applications.

● Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

● Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, codebases, and technical environments.

● Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with product, design, and delivery teams.

● Ability to manage technical work independently and solve unfamiliar problems with minimal oversight.

Technical Skills

Candidates should be comfortable working across a range of modern technologies, including:

● Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.

● Backend: Python, Node.js, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

● Data: PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and integrations.

● Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.

Experience with AI integrations, automation systems, or data platforms is a strong plus.

Location, Compensation and Engagement

● Location: United States (Remote).

● Compensation: $30 per hour.

● Engagement: 40 hours per week.
