Help Desk Technician

Our client, a leading financial services company, is looking to hire an Help Desk Technician in South Jordan, UT.

Pay Rate Range: $24–$25/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide front-line IT support to end users through phone and live chat in a fast-paced environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and application issues
• Diagnose, triage, research, and resolve technical incidents or escalate when needed
• Document support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system
• Communicate clearly with users regarding ticket status, next steps, and resolutions
• Support enterprise software, hardware, peripherals, and other IT systems
• Use diagnostic tools and knowledge base resources to resolve technical issues
• Manage multiple requests while maintaining a high level of customer service
• Install, modify, clean, or repair hardware and software as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–5 years of related customer support or IT service desk experience preferred
• Experience providing technical support through phone and/or live chat
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service, active listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Technical aptitude and ability to learn and support a broad range of IT systems and applications
• Proficiency with fundamental computer skills, email, typing, and Windows-based systems
• Experience with ticketing systems and documenting technical issues is preferred
• Ability to work afternoon coverage with shifts ending as late as 6–8 PM local time
• Flexibility to support variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and shift changes
