What You'll Do

As an IT Technician, you'll provide technical support and help manage the systems and infrastructure that keep Barnard's employees connected and productive.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Provide IT help desk and technical support to employees throughout the organization.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, network connectivity, and other technical issues.
• Design and implement temporary office networks and telephone systems to support construction operations.
• Create and maintain standardized computer images for employee workstation deployment.
• Use computer imaging and deployment technologies to configure and prepare employee computers.
• Create, delete, and manage Active Directory user accounts and email accounts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Ethernet and telephone cabling.
• Assist with maintaining reliable IT systems and supporting day-to-day technology needs.
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate technologies and help guide the organization's IT solutions.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys helping others and can manage multiple technical priorities.

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent IT work experience will also be considered.
• Experience providing technical support directly to customers or end users.
• Strong computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Ethernet and telephone cable installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with computer imaging and deployment technologies, such as Microsoft SCCM and Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
• Positive attitude and a customer-service-focused approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment.
