Company Description Spectra Home Mortgage NLMS #836603 is a mortgage brokerage located at 750 S Plaza Dr., Mendota Heights, Minnesota, serving a diverse range of borrowers across the United States. The organization focuses on personalized service, treating each customer as an individual rather than a number. Instead of relying on rigid industry loan formulas, Spectra Home Mortgage applies practical, “common sense” decision-making. By partnering with a broad network of lenders, the company works to match each client with the most suitable loan options. Team members join a collaborative environment centered on transparency, integrity, and customer-focused solutions.

This role supports Loan Officers throughout the loan process, including gathering and organizing borrower documentation, entering and updating application data, and preparing files for underwriting review. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to obtain required information, clarify loan conditions, and provide timely updates. The Loan Officer Assistant helps track deadlines, ensure files are complete and compliant, and follow up on outstanding items to move loans efficiently from application to closing. This position also contributes to maintaining accurate records, supporting a positive customer experience, and assisting with general administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry and familiarity with Loan Officers’ workflows and processes.
  • Experience or exposure to underwriting principles, loan documentation, and basic lending guidelines.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to support borrowers through clear, courteous interactions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain loan requirements and timelines.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with common office software and mortgage-related systems or CRMs (training may be provided).
  • Ability to work on-site in Mendota Heights, MN, collaborate with team members, and maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Prior experience in mortgage, banking, finance, or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma is required, and further education in business or finance is a plus.
