Job Description
• $50–$70 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the economic judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real experts. The teams building them need macroeconomists who can create realistic research tasks, judge how well the AI handles economic data and market questions, write the analysis a professional would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models understands the economy and financial markets. This is that work, done remotely, around your current job.
What you'll do
• Create structured research tasks based on US economic releases, including GDP and inflation
• Evaluate how well AI analyzes employment data and historical data revisions
• Write expert analysis of Treasury yield curves and interest-rate movements
• Explain where AI misinterprets FOMC statements and monetary policy expectations
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $50–$70 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most macroeconomists will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping the work of macroeconomists, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Professional experience in one or more of these areas: macroeconomic research, economic strategy, monetary policy or fixed income research
• Strong understanding of Federal Reserve policy and the main US economic indicators
• Familiarity with US economic data and markets, such as Treasury yield curves, FOMC communications, historical datasets and revisions, and BEA and BLS releases
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $50–$70 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
