Member Engagement

Do you have a passion for working with students and/or young adults with cognitive differences? Do you feel success when you help others achieve? Are you hypersensitive to your surroundings and the needs of others? Do you need to stay mentally and physically active throughout the workday? Can you effectively communicate and connect with small groups? Do people trust your judgement?

If so, this is a great part-time, seasonal opportunity – which could lead to a larger engagement – to join our team at a first-of-its-kind program in the area.

Colin’s Lodge is a recreation and evening activity facility. Its facility, located outside Dayton in Sugarcreek Township, we create a unique and safe environment for friends to meet and develop/reinforce life and social skills through a variety of activities.

The member engagement staff’s main function will be to facilitate programming. Member engagement staff will supervise all member activities. Lodge hours are evenings and weekends. Staff members must be able to meet the physical and emotional demands of this program. Certification on CPR, FA and AED are needed.

With an understanding of Colin’s Lodge member-centric philosophy, staff members must be able to display sound judgment, accountability, and a cheerful outlook. They must be able to work independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

• Function as a positive role model and mentor.
• Engage in program activities to improve and enhance the member experience.
• Ensure the welfare and safety of all members enrolled at Colin’s Lodge.
• Implement standards, guidelines, and programs including but not limited to sporting activities, art/dance and others as needed.
• Provide excellence in program service and delivery.
