About The Role

Software Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, test, and maintain software applications. In this role, you will work with engineers, product partners, designers, and other stakeholders to turn requirements into dependable technical solutions. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from clarifying needs and evaluating approaches to releasing features and improving existing systems. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and comfortable balancing attention to detail with the ability to make steady progress. Qualifications

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Professional experience developing software in a collaborative team environment is preferred. Candidates should have working knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or a comparable language, and familiarity with fundamental software engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and version control.

Strong candidates can write clear, maintainable code; investigate issues systematically; and explain technical concepts to colleagues with different backgrounds. Experience with databases, APIs, automated testing, cloud platforms, or modern development frameworks is an advantage. A commitment to security, accessibility, code quality, and responsible handling of data is valued. Applicants should be organized, receptive to feedback, and able to work independently while contributing effectively to shared goals.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software features and services in accordance with product requirements and engineering standards. Collaborate with teammates to clarify user needs, assess technical options, estimate work, and identify dependencies or risks. Participate in code reviews by providing constructive feedback and applying recommendations to improve reliability, readability, and maintainability.

Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance concerns, and production issues, escalating risks appropriately and documenting findings. Create and maintain unit, integration, or other automated tests to help ensure that changes behave as expected. Work with relevant tools and development processes to support integration, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance. Contribute to technical documentation and share knowledge that helps the team work effectively. Follow established security and privacy practices, keep current with relevant technologies, and suggest practical improvements to engineering workflows and product quality.
