Role Description The Personal Care Assistant role at Agility Home Care is an on-site position based in Duluth, GA. In this role, the Personal Care Assistant supports clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance. The position may include helping with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and reminders for medications as directed by the care plan. The Personal Care Assistant observes changes in clients’ conditions, reports concerns to supervisors or care coordinators, and documents services provided. Building respectful, trusting relationships with clients and maintaining professional boundaries are essential aspects of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in personal care, home care, or a related caregiving role, with ability to assist safely with daily living activities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to follow care plans, observe client needs, and report changes accurately and promptly.
• Reliable transportation to client homes in and around Duluth, GA, and willingness to work on-site.
• Basic understanding of infection control, safety practices, and proper body mechanics for lifting and mobility assistance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant certifications such as Personal Care Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA are a plus.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and respect for client privacy and cultural differences.
• Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings in accordance with applicable regulations.
