Overview

The Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Jobot will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and reliability of our AI-powered systems in a startup environment. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available systems utilizing industry best practices.
• Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive incident response.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security and reliability into the development lifecycle.
• Manage incidents and drive postmortem processes to improve future reliability and security measures.
• Identify and prioritize risks, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Establish and enforce policies for system architecture and security protocols across development teams.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in SRE practices, coding standards, and security measures.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related fields.
• Strong expertise in security protocols, threat modeling, and risk management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, database management, and system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal SRE will work with a range of technologies and tools including, but not limited to, cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana), and security tools (Terraform, Vault). Familiarity with logging systems (ELK Stack, Splunk) and version control systems (Git) will also be essential for this role.
