React/Node.JS Developer

Job Summary

React Developers are responsible for developing, programming, and coding IT solutions using ReactJS, Redux, D3, and NodeJS to support customer experience applications in the health insurance industry.

Responsibilities include participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, gathering and analyzing business and system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models. Developers document system specifications, conduct performance testing, and support planned and unplanned maintenance for internally developed applications and purchased products.

Additional responsibilities include participating in design meetings, consulting with clients to refine, test, and debug programs, and collaborating with third-party partners to achieve business and technology initiatives. Developers must also implement IT controls that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.

General Requirements

• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocols, and change management procedures.
• Proficiency with MERN and MEAN scaffolding tools.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing tasks independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback.
• Demonstrated initiative and effective independent decision-making.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• In-depth understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
• Programming proficiency in multiple languages and technologies, including React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, local storage, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Database knowledge, including MongoDB, may be required.
• Experience with modern web/UI development tools and technologies, including Node, Webpack, Grunt/Gulp, Git, Axios, and Jest.
• Familiarity with client-side templating tools, including Mustache.js, Handlebars.js, Panni.js, and Dust.js.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
• Experience with debugging tools such as Advanced Debugger, Allinea DDT, AQtime, ARM, and CA/EZTEST.
• Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation, client-side validation, jQuery, and other JavaScript libraries.
• Strong critical-thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Experience with responsive grid systems.
• Solid knowledge of React and Redux principles and implementation.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other business domains - healthcare exp not required
• Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience with mobile design, including native and mobile web applications.
• Experience with Foundation.
• Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines and requirements.
• Strong cloud experience; Snowflake experience is strongly preferred.
  
  

Required Work Experience

• 3+ years of related professional experience in IT, including technical design and coding.

Key Requirement
