About the Role

Eliassen Group is seeking a Data Engineer for a remote contract position. The role focuses on designing and implementing high-performance data pipelines, maintaining data quality and lineage, and delivering reliable data solutions across AWS services.

The ideal candidate has expert-level Python and PySpark skills, hands-on experience with AWS Glue and EMR, and a strong background in building and managing large-scale data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance data pipelines.
• Build scalable data processing solutions using Python and PySpark.
• Work with AWS services, including AWS Glue and EMR, to support data engineering workflows.
• Establish and maintain data quality and data lineage.
• Develop resilient and reliable data solutions across AWS environments.
• Support the processing and management of large-scale datasets.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue and EMR.
• Demonstrated experience building large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience designing and implementing reliable, high-performance data solutions.
• Understanding of data quality and data lineage practices.
