Job Overview

The Remote Network Engineer with Automation/JIRA and Confluence experience will play a critical role in maintaining, configuring, and optimizing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement automation solutions, enhance network performance, and facilitate efficient project management through the effective use of JIRA and Confluence. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network systems, ensuring network availability and performance.
• Utilize automation tools to streamline network management processes.
• Manage and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate JIRA and Confluence for improved project tracking and documentation.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure service integrity.
• Conduct regular network assessments and recommend upgrades or improvements as necessary.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or relevant role, with a focus on automation.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and technologies.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, etc.) is essential.
• Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are preferred.

Technologies & Tools
