Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures in Microsoft Azure.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through best practices in data governance and processing workflows.
• Optimize existing data processes for performance and scalability while monitoring and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Document processes, data flows, and architecture designs to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud data engineering and propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a strong emphasis on Azure services.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java or Scala for data processing tasks.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure technologies including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Streaming Analytics.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and handling structured and unstructured data.
