Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure-based cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot Azure services to ensure performance and resilience.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services with existing applications and systems.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for cloud provisioning and management.
• Lead projects and initiatives related to cloud migration, deployment, and optimization.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support the growth of cloud engineering capabilities within the organization.
• Document cloud architecture, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• In-depth understanding of Azure services including, but not limited to, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, and Azure Active Directory.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Strong networking, security, and database management skills.
• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will utilize a variety of technologies and tools consistent with state-of-the-art cloud practices, including Microsoft Azure Portal, Azure CLI, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, and Powershell scripting. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center will also be essential.
