Overview

The Senior Oracle Linux Systems Administrator at Get It Recruit - Finance is responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Oracle Linux environments. Job Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle Linux servers, ensuring the highest levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Linux systems and related software packages.
• Implement and manage system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with application teams to support and optimize financial applications running on Oracle Linux.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies regarding system security and data integrity.
• Participate in capacity planning and system performance reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on Oracle Linux.
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle databases and associated technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and utilities.
• Certification in Oracle Linux or relevant Linux certifications is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
