Role Description As a Senior Software Engineer at Job Spread, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that power our talent-matching platform. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations, primarily focusing on back-end services and APIs. Daily responsibilities include writing high-quality, testable code, reviewing code from peers, optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliability and security across services. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and continuously improve development practices and tooling. This is a full-time, remote role, offering flexibility while requiring strong communication and accountability in a distributed team environment.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production systems in one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go).
• Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and integration with cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean code practices, including design patterns and modular, maintainable code.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and debugging complex systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in high-scale, distributed systems and prior work in recruitment, HR tech, or SaaS platforms is a plus.
