Overview

Avum Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive testing frameworks to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Software Test Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices in software testing.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
• Automate test cases using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
• Identify, document, and track software defects while coordinating with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Conduct performance, regression, and integration testing to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
• Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to influence quality in the development lifecycle.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior test engineers to foster skill development within the team.
• Continuously improve testing processes and practices based on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; experience with Java, C#, or Python is preferred.
• Strong experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile development methodologies and software testing life cycles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Software Test Engineer will work with a range of technologies and tools, including but not limited to: Selenium for automated testing, JIRA for issue tracking and project management, Git for version control, Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment, and various cloud services such as AWS or Azure for deployment and testing environments. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
