Operant AI is seeking a highly motivated Senior SRE Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in our infrastructure, develop tools and processes to streamline operations, and provide support for incident resolution. As a Senior SRE Engineer, you will play a critical role in transitioning our operations to a more proactive approach, leveraging your expertise to enhance our cloud-based solutions and achieve operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support scalable and highly available systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to maintain optimal uptime.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure operational considerations are integrated into design and architecture.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and workflows.
• Lead post-incident reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices for system security and data protection.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on SRE principles and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Proficient with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
