Overview

WebstaurantStore is seeking a dedicated Site Reliability Engineer - Automation (SRE) to join our growing remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of our systems while automating processes that improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead. This role involves collaborating closely with development teams to optimize system performance, implementing best practices for software development and operational processes, and troubleshooting complex issues to ensure the seamless functioning of our services.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation tools and processes to support operational efficiency.
• Manage and enhance our infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Monitor system performance and reliability metrics, responding proactively to potential issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish best practices for system architecture and reliability.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high availability of services.
• Document processes, systems, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
