About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER - TECHNOLOGY role involves joining an autonomous agile team to develop and maintain web-based features and applications supporting the organization's product areas. The position is key in ensuring operational maintenance, troubleshooting, and backend system support. Additionally, the role contributes to enhancing products and internal tools through the integration of Generative AI technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and advanced AI services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal partners to design, configure, maintain, and promote accessible applications.
• Monitor, test, and optimize software to ensure reliability and compliance with architectural standards.
• Participate in continuous code delivery with deployment tools and automated testing.
• Scale software to support dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and maintain scalable applications.
• Work with engineers, product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging.
• Develop Generative AI features including chat interfaces, document summarization, intelligent search, and automated content generation.
• Build and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines with vector databases to ground AI outputs.
• Apply Responsible AI practices addressing bias, PII handling, and content safety in AI-powered features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in multiple object-oriented languages.
• Experience with web and cross-platform technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Git and code management.
• Experience in continuous delivery and automated testing.
• Familiarity with relational and unstructured data repositories.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
• Required expertise in React, MS VB and C# .NET frameworks (including Web Forms, Windows Forms, .NET Web API, Entity Framework, MVC Pattern, SPA Framework), JavaScript frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle stored procedures/scripts.
• Experience with Azure technologies including Azure Functions, Data Factory, Storage Account, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, App Service, VMs, Table Storage, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and Generative AI concepts including Azure OpenAI Service, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
• Awareness of Responsible AI principles including bias mitigation, PII handling, and content safety.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Pay rate between $108,000 to $115,000, depending on experience.
