Job Description

Why This Role

This role is for someone who likes digging into the “why” behind the numbers. You won’t just close the books. You’ll explain what is actually driving revenue, margin, and EBITDA. You’d own a meaningful part of the finance function at a mid-size, PE-backed consumer electronics company that is investing in rebuilding its financial reporting and operational discipline. You’ll have direct visibility with FP&A leadership and executives, and a real hand in shaping how the business understands its profitability.

About the Role

You’ll own the analysis behind revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and P&L performance across the company’s domestic and international business. You’ll work closely with global teams to make sure revenue and cost are allocated accurately, use data science and advanced analytics to find what is driving results, and turn that into recommendations leadership can act on. This seat is key to how the company makes financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L analysis for assigned business units, including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, and EBITDA performance
  • Lead revenue and cost allocations for Domestic and International divisions, partnering closely with Global Accounting
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, and explain clearly what drove results
  • Apply data science and advanced analytics methods (statistical modeling, trend analysis, predictive forecasting) to revenue and margin drivers
  • Drive forecasting and budgeting, including building and maintaining financial models
  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain leaders on financial tracking, pricing, promotions, and channel profitability
  • Build business cases and support pricing and investment decisions with clear ROI and margin impact analysis
  • Prepare presentations and materials for executive leadership team meetings
  • Own franchise data, demand planning inputs, and the financial components of the product database
  • Build and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs in Power BI, Excel, or similar tools
  • Find and lead process improvements that strengthen data integrity and reporting efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or corporate accounting
  • Background with a CPG or ecommerce company required
  • Deep understanding of revenue drivers, EBITDA, and full P&L management
  • Experience applying data science or advanced analytics to financial decisions (SQL, Python, or R a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex modeling) and Power BI experience
  • Strong communicator who can present insights to senior leadership with confidence
  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains, SAP) a plus
  • Experience in a PE-backed environment a plus

Compensation: $140,000 to $150,000 base salary
