Overview

The Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Back End, Shopping at RemoteWorker CA will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of the shopping platform. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing automated solutions for infrastructure management, monitoring service health, and enhancing the support processes for backend systems. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical production issues.
• Develop and manage automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal availability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for service outages and devise strategies to mitigate future incidents.
• Define service level objectives (SLOs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for backend services.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address and resolve system outages promptly.
• Mentor and guide junior SRE team members on technical and operational best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (e.g., ELK stack).
• Proficient in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
