Sr. Production Support Engineer

Location: Middletown, NJ (Onsite)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Production Support Engineer with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to support business-critical applications in a production environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Splunk, Rigor, Unix, and scripting, along with strong documentation and communication skills.

Must be a U.S. Citizen, as the position requires eligibility for Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide production/application support and ensure smooth operation of business-critical applications.

Monitor application health, system performance, and availability using tools such as Splunk and Rigor.

Investigate production incidents, analyze logs, identify root causes, and support timely resolution.

Perform troubleshooting and operational activities in Unix/Linux environments.

Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine support and operational activities.

Participate in incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis (RCA) activities.

Create and maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

Collaborate with application, infrastructure, development, and other support teams for issue resolution.

Provide production support across different shifts based on business and operational requirements.

Required Skills:

Hands-on experience in Production/Application Support.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Splunk for log monitoring and troubleshooting.

Experience with Rigor or similar application monitoring solutions.

Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux.

Experience with Unix shell scripting or other scripting languages.

Strong documentation skills, including preparation of SOPs, RCAs, and operational procedures.

Willingness to work in different/rotational shifts as required.
