Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring system reliability and scalability.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and address system performance issues proactively.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application design and throughput for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning through configuration management tools.
• Conduct postmortems of service incidents and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Participate in rotating on-call duties and respond to incidents, minimizing downtime and service interruptions.
• Lead initiatives for system capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Document system configurations and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and programming languages (e.g., Go, Java).
• Solid understanding of network protocols, monitoring systems, and DevOps principles.
• Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive attitude toward learning and innovation.

Technologies & Tools

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Terraform for infrastructure as code, Prometheus for monitoring, Grafana for visualization, Docker for containerization, and Kubernetes for orchestration. Additionally, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or GitLab will enhance the efficiency of our software deployment processes.
