Overview

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Vimeo plays a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and availability of our services. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain systems that improve the reliability and scalability of Vimeo's services.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure service reliability and performance goals are met.
• Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and other mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to guide system architecture and ensure production readiness of services.
• Conduct postmortems on outages and incidents to improve response processes and system resilience.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes and systems.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address issues affecting service uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering or similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker).
• Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail.
