Overview

CDK Global is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). In this role, you will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. You will collaborate with development teams to enhance service reliability and deploy automated solutions that improve operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient, and secure systems for our applications.
• Monitor system health and performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, ensuring maximum uptime.
• Automate operational tasks and enhance deployment pipelines using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure new services are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
• Conduct post-incident reviews, developing action plans to prevent recurrence and to improve future system resilience.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to establish service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) for our services.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure rapid recovery from incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and operations with a focus on reliability.
• Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
