Job Title: Staff Platform and Reliability Engineer

Location: On-site, Financial District, San Francisco, CA (44 Montgomery St)

About the Role:

A leading agentic AI platform serving 100+ banks and credit unions is seeking a Staff Platform and Reliability Engineer with 5-10 years of experience. This is a hands-on, senior IC role responsible for owning the reliability and security layer as the company scales. Key responsibilities include:

- Engaging early in infrastructure and delivery pipelines to ensure proper fixes

- Identifying and closing reliability and delivery gaps

- Improving uptime and deployment speed while maintaining security

- Owning SLOs, incident response, observability, and disaster recovery (targeting 99.99% uptime)

- Securing AWS/Kubernetes platform and producing compliance evidence (SOC 2, NCUA/FFIEC, GLBA)

Requirements:

- 5 years as a platform engineer or site reliability engineer

- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, GitOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, TypeScript, Python, Bash
