Position Overview

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Cribl, you will play a vital role in enhancing the reliability, performance, and scalability of our services and infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available distributed systems.
• Develop and refine automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to ensure system reliability.
• Analyze complex production issues, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure timely resolution of outages and incidents.
• Establish and promote best practices for software engineering, system design, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Deep understanding of container orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.

Technologies & Tools

In this role, you will leverage a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to AWS or other cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. You will also utilize programming languages such as Python and Go to develop automation scripts and tools.
