Job Description

Surgical Technologist II supports advanced surgical procedures by assisting surgeons and nursing staff with preparation and ongoing operating room support. The role prepares operating rooms, ensures sterile technique, and organizes sterile instruments and supplies to meet surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout procedures
Anticipate surgical team needs and provide instruments/supplies as required
Handle specimens and support safe transfer/processing
Manage and verify accurate sterile instrument and supply counts
Coordinate readiness of the operating environment to support efficient, safe care

Qualifications/skills

Strong understanding of surgical instruments, sterile processing, and aseptic practices
Detail-oriented with dependable accuracy for counts and setup
Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team
Professional commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care
