Job Summary

Surgical Technician Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech. This role supports operating room procedures by assisting with patient transfers, room cleanup, instrument preparation and passing, medication restocking, and support for the registered nurse circulator. The position follows a weekday schedule with on-call responsibilities and requires applicable state authorization, national certification or registration, and clinical experience.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. On-call coverage includes one night per week and two weekends per month; holiday call is not required.


• Required Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • At least 1 year of experience
  
  
  • North Dakota Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) authorization, with a temporary license in hand before orientation
  
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  
  
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA
  
  
  
  


• Additional Information:
  
  
  
  • Assist with transferring patients to and from the operating room suite.
  
  
  • Support room cleanup and assist the registered nurse circulator.
  
  
  • Order and restock medications and prepare and pass instruments.
  
  
  • Use the EPIC charting system.
  
  
  • Complete approximately 12 weeks of unit-specific training and orientation.
  
  
  • Support a department with three operating room suites.
