Responsibilities

Provide direct maternal-newborn care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, assess for complications, administer medications as ordered, and document in the electronic health record
Support families with newborn care education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning
Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Respond to emergencies and fetal distress per approved protocols; participate in code/rapid response activations as needed
Maintain accurate charting, adhere to infection control practices, and ensure patient safety and privacy throughout all shifts

Requirements

Certifications: AHA BLS and NRP
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby nursing experience
Shift readiness: Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 12x3 schedule
Holidays: Willing to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (e.g., the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
Work setting: Able to perform effectively in a hospital environment on a travel assignment
