American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a 12-week hospital assignment requiring NBRC certification and flexibility across day and night shifts.

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department setting
• Flexible scheduling including 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts, covering both day and night coverage based on departmental needs
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• On-site position with no teleworking option
• Uses EPIC for charting

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
• Active state RT license required (license required if applicable)
• ACLS certification required
• NRP and PALS certifications required where applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related healthcare field preferred
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Additional NBRC specialty credentials preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer literacy required

• Provide assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease across the continuum of care
• Function as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate continuity of care in a financially responsible manner
• Quickly and accurately assess patient condition and communicate changes, diagnostic results, and treatment response to the care team
• Must demonstrate initiative, independent judgment, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break prior to returning
