Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

Adana Veterinary Clinic | Freeville, NY

Pay: $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: 35–38 hours per week, Monday–Friday

We’re seeking a friendly, professional, detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative with prior veterinary hospital experience to join our team.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play an essential role in creating a positive experience for pets and their people. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, comfortable with technology, organized, and able to thrive in a busy veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.
• Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling, email, and text communications.
• Check clients in and out, prepare invoices, and process payments.
• Maintain accurate client and patient records.
• Communicate veterinary recommendations and discharge instructions clearly and accurately.
• Answer questions about clinic services, policies, products, and general pet care.
• Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and welcoming.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary hospital or veterinary reception experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software efficiently.
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute; 60–70 WPM preferred.
• Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and basic preventive care.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.
• A genuine love of animals and an understanding of the importance of compassionate client care.
