Job Description

Company Description PledgeScape Hotels & Resorts is a modern beachfront destination in the heart of Negombo, offering a balance of luxury, comfort, and authentic Sri Lankan hospitality. Located along the golden sands of Negombo Beach, the property features stylish rooms, curated dining experiences, and personalized service designed to make each stay memorable. The resort welcomes guests traveling for leisure, business, or romantic getaways, blending scenic coastal beauty with contemporary design. With a commitment to warm service and distinctive experiences, PledgeScape aims to be a welcoming home by the ocean rather than just a place to stay. Team members join a hospitality brand focused on creating lasting memories and elevating the guest experience.
Role Description The VP of Creative is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the overall creative vision and brand expression for PledgeScape Hotels & Resorts across all touchpoints. This role oversees the development of integrated creative concepts for campaigns, digital channels, on-property experiences, and brand collateral, ensuring consistency with the brand’s identity and values. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding creative direction for design and content teams, reviewing and refining creative work, and collaborating with marketing, operations, and leadership to translate business goals into compelling visual and narrative storytelling. The VP of Creative will manage external agencies and creative partners, maintain brand standards, and champion innovative ideas that differentiate PledgeScape in the hospitality market. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on creative leadership, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong Creative Direction and Art Direction skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and delivering cohesive brand experiences.
  • Proficiency in Creative Strategy and Concept Development, including the ability to translate business objectives into clear, compelling creative ideas.
  • Hands-on expertise in Branding, with a track record of building, evolving, and protecting brand identity across digital, print, and experiential channels.
  • Extensive experience in hospitality, lifestyle, or consumer brands, ideally at a senior or executive creative level.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain creative rationale clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across marketing, operations, and executive leadership teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors, overseeing budgets, and setting creative processes and standards.
