Job Description
Business Transformation Senior Consultant | Process Improvement | Continuous Improvement | Operational Excellence
Location: Greater Columbus, Ohio
Work Arrangement: Full-time, onsite, little to no travel
Compensation: $90K–$125K base salary + bonus
About the Opportunity
Four Pillars Talent is partnering with a large organization to hire a Business Transformation Senior Consultant for a team focused on improving how the business operates. This is a visible, hands-on individual contributor role for someone who can understand a complex process, identify what is getting in the way, and bring people together to make lasting improvements.
The team works much like an internal consulting group, with a strong focus on execution. You’ll lead projects from assessment through implementation and take meaningful ownership of larger initiatives. The work spans core processes such as order to cash, purchase to pay, sales and operations planning, and new product introduction, along with the systems and teams that support them, so you’ll need to learn quickly and lead through influence.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- High visibility with leadership and cross-functional teams
- Broad exposure to business operations, systems, and transformation work
- The chance to see your improvement recommendations through implementation and measure the results
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
- 10 holidays, 25 days of vacation, and a 401(k) match
What You’ll Do
- Lead process improvement projects from discovery and root cause analysis through implementation
- Facilitate working sessions and map current workflows, handoffs, and pain points
- Build project plans, manage milestones, and keep stakeholders aligned on decisions and commitments
- Work with business leaders and IT on process changes and system improvements
- Use data to prioritize opportunities, track progress, and demonstrate business benefits
- Help teams adopt new processes through communication, documentation, and training
- Identify opportunities to simplify or automate work
- Keep leaders informed with clear status updates and raise issues early
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in process improvement, project management, business transformation, or a related area, typically around 4 years or more
- Strong knowledge of at least one major business process, such as order to cash, purchase to pay, sales inventory and operational planning, or new product introduction
- A track record of owning projects through implementation, including projects involving several functions
- Experience working with a large ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and using data to guide decisions
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Clear communication with both business leaders and the teams doing the work
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or JIRA is helpful, as are certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or CSM. Candidates who have worked in a consulting or large, complex organization will be especially well suited to the role.
Ideal Profile
This role suits someone who acts like a business athlete or a Swiss army knife. You can step into an evolving situation, figure out what matters, build a plan, and move work forward without waiting for perfect structure. You know when to support the business and when to challenge it, and you’re credible with stakeholders at every level.
Interested?
If you can describe a process improvement you led, how you worked through resistance or competing priorities, and what changed as a result, please apply through Four Pillars Talent for a confidential conversation. Interviews are already underway.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
