Typically does: Handles customer transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and providing change. Provides excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues. Maintains a clean and organized workspace, restocking supplies as needed. May also assist with other tasks such as bagging items or assisting customers with locating products.
Tools and skills: Point of sale (POS) systems, cash handling, basic math skills, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities are generally required.
