About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join a robotics and automation engineering team. This is a hands-on role involving embedded firmware, embedded Linux, high-speed interfaces, electronics integration, and test automation.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing embedded solutions for robotics, IoT, advanced sensing, computer vision, or other physical AI applications, with the ability to take solutions from prototype through production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop embedded software across bare-metal/RTOS microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms.
  • Develop firmware, BSPs, device drivers, networking components, and system services.
  • Implement and validate interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2, PCIe, USB 3.x, Gigabit Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
  • Integrate and characterize lighting power electronics, including PWM/current control and sensor synchronization.
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, test, and software teams to deliver robust system solutions.
  • Lead technical trade-offs involving performance, cost, power, and schedule.
  • Develop unit tests, automated test frameworks, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setups.
  • Support product verification, production handover, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience delivering embedded solutions in robotics, IoT, electronics, embedded systems, advanced sensing, vision, or AI/physical AI.
  • Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++, Python, and Git.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and networking.
  • Experience developing firmware for resource-constrained devices.
  • Understanding of electronics, schematic reading, board bring-up, and power electronics fundamentals.
  • Practical experience using oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers, and power measurement equipment.
  • Experience with unit testing, automated testing, or hardware-in-the-loop validation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PCB design and schematic tools such as Altium or KiCad; LED drivers, power conversion, and EMC/EMI.
  • Test fixtures, HIL rigs, DVT/PVT, reliability testing, and pytest.
  • ROS 2, MQTT, gRPC, containers, OTA updates, secure boot, and device security.
  • Camera/sensor pipelines, machine vision, edge AI, GStreamer, TensorRT, or RFID/NFC.
