About the Opportunity:

The FULL STACK ENGINEER role centers on developing and enhancing a platform-as-a-service that facilitates secure and compliant site and app deployment. This position prioritizes backend development, requiring problem-solving and technical skills to contribute to forward-looking software solutions. The role is critical for maintaining high-quality, test-driven development and user-centered design, ensuring the platform meets evolving requirements and supports the organization's broader goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend and frontend components of the platform
• Use test-driven development with full code coverage
• Design small components with consideration for overall system integration
• Adapt to changing requirements and incorporate feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain code quality and team health

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of development experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Strong skills in Python and Node/Typescript
• Experience with RDBMS, especially PostgreSQL
• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Experience with cloud and PaaS technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Knowledge of test-driven development methodologies
• Experience with CI tools such as GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization solutions (e.g., Keycloak, AWS Cognito) is a plus
• Experience with frontend frameworks like Astro, React, or Lit is a plus
• Understanding of web standards including HTML and CSS is a plus
• Familiarity with design systems such as U.S Web Design System is a plus
• Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and make judicious technical decisions

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $120,000 to $155,000
