Job Overview

RemoteWorker US is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Information Security SOC Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents within our security operations center (SOC). You will collaborate closely with various teams to analyze security threats, respond to incidents, and implement security measures to safeguard the organization's information systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incident reports from various security tools and platforms.
• Analyze security events and incidents to determine scope, impact, and effective responses.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain current knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and document findings to enhance future response efforts.
• Participate in the development and execution of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assist in training staff on security awareness and best practices.
• Prepare regular reports on security incidents and SOC activities for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a security operations, incident response, or threat intelligence role.
• Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and technologies.
• Experience with SIEM tools and incident response management platforms.
• Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Technologies & Tools

The Information Security SOC Analyst will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network monitoring tools, endpoint protection solutions, and forensic analysis software. Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools for security processes will also be beneficial.
