Job Description

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

MCE Distributors LLC is the authorized SwiftWall® dealer for South Florida. We supply, rent and install modular temporary wall systems — the walls that go up in hospitals, airports, schools, stadiums and retail spaces wherever you need to create, divide or transform space. We also supply and install Ubicuity interactive projection systems for experiential and event work.

Since launching in 2024 we have closed more than 120 projects across 11 industries, for customers including Miami International Airport, the Miami Marlins, PortMiami, the VA Medical Center, the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. We are based in Doral and serve Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. We are small, we are growing fast, and we are building our sales team now.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be MCE’s first Inside Sales Representative. Today the President & Managing Partner prices every job we sell or rent. Your job is to take that over.

Here is how we sell. A field role finds the opportunity, walks the site and writes the scope. You turn that scope into an accurate quote — material, labor, trucking, services — inside clear pricing guardrails, and you carry it to a signed order. Then you keep the account: rental end dates and extensions, repeat orders, add-on services, change orders on live jobs. The field role hunts; you price, close the paperwork and farm. You also own the monthly sales reporting to the President & Managing Partner, because the person closest to the quotes is the person who knows what is really in play.

This is an in-office role at our Doral, FL location, with occasional visits to active job sites, and a direct line to the President & Managing Partner. It is not a quiet seat. A good week looks like this: every inquiry answered fast, a dozen quotes out and none later than two days after the scope landed, three rental customers reached before their end date and two of them extended, a change order priced the same morning the project manager asked for it, and a quote log so current that the Friday pipeline review takes twenty minutes instead of two hours.

The honest version: this role lives on follow-up and accuracy. A quote that is right but late loses the job; a quote that is fast but wrong loses the margin. If you are the person who sends the fifth follow-up without being reminded and keeps the record current without being asked, this is your seat. If you want to be out hunting new logos, that is the field role — we are hiring for it next, and we would rather point you there than find out in month two.

What you will do:

  • Estimate and quote every sale and rental in our estimator portal, inside company pricing guardrails
  • Check account history before pricing and flag scope gaps back to the field before the quote goes out
  • Follow up on every open quote until it is won, lost with a reason, or dead
  • Handle customer service on active jobs: questions, change orders, scheduling coordination with our project manager
  • Maintain and grow a book of existing accounts: rental extensions, repeat orders, add-on services, current customer records
  • Produce the monthly sales reports to the President & Managing Partner: pipeline and backlog, quote log, renewals and extensions
  • Keep the CRM and quote log accurate so a quote becomes a clean handoff to the crew
  • Build the routines the next person in this seat inherits

Your first 45 days:

  • Days 1–15: Learn the SwiftWall product lines and how we price them. Get fluent in the estimator portal. Shadow the President & Managing Partner on quotes. Take over rental re-orders and extensions end to end.
  • Days 16–30: Build standard quotes yourself, reviewed before they go out. Own quote follow-up. Produce the three monthly reports with help.
  • Days 31–45: Quote inside guardrails without review. Own a defined book of accounts. Produce the reports on your own. Pass the certification that marks the end of ramp.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 2+ years pricing or quoting work for a living: construction estimating, equipment or event rental, subcontractor quoting, or sales support in a trade
  • Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets and plans
  • Writes a clear email a contractor can act on
  • A track record of following up without being reminded and keeping records current without being asked
  • Fluent English
  • A valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits
  • The ability to pass a background check (required for airport and hospital job sites)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English / Spanish (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with a quoting or estimating platform and a CRM
  • The ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience in building products, equipment rental, or the event or construction trades in South Florida
  • Experience owning renewals or an existing book of accounts

HOW TO APPLY

Send your CV and a short description of something you priced: what it was, how you built the number, how long you had to turn it around, and whether it won. If it lost, tell us why. Apply here or email [email protected].

That second one matters more to us than the resume. We are hiring for accuracy under a deadline and the discipline to chase a quote down. Tell us about one in your own words.
