Overview

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician who will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and assistance to end-users within the organization. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, support network operations, and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Job Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to end-users for desktop, laptop, and application issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software malfunctions and ensure timely resolution.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
• Monitor and maintain IT equipment, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Document all technical support activities and maintain awareness of trends in user issues.
• Conduct training sessions for users on new technology or procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist in the procurement of new equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MAC OS, and various hardware components.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and basic troubleshooting of network connectivity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent is a plus.

Technologies & Tools

The IT Support Technician will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Windows and MAC operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, remote assistance software, antivirus solutions, ticketing systems, and networking devices such as routers and switches. Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies is also advantageous for this position.
