Job Overview

Oreva Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mainframe Engineer to join our dynamic team. Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications following industry best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mainframe application issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform system upgrades and migrations, ensuring all data integrity and compliance standards are met.
• Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance activities to ensure optimal operation.
• Document development processes, system configurations, and updates in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers on best practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with mainframe systems and applications.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2 database management.
• Experience with mainframe tools such as z/OS, z/VM, and CA Tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
