Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience migrating Windows and/or Linux server workloads from on-premises or hosted environments to OCI.
• Good understanding of OCI Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Monitoring, and Security services.
• Experience with Tanium for server inventory, software discovery, configuration analysis, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Windows and Linux infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise server migration, infrastructure transformation, or data-center migration projects.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Migration Engineer to support an enterprise-wide Java remediation and cloud migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on OCI infrastructure experience and expertise in migrating Windows and Linux server workloads from existing enterprise hosting environments to OCI.

The successful candidate will work closely with project leads, application owners, Wintel, Linux, Citrix, network, security, and cloud infrastructure teams to manage workload discovery, migration planning, execution, validation, and post-migration stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess Windows and Linux server workloads identified for migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Review existing workload configurations, application dependencies, network connectivity, storage, and server specifications.
• Develop and execute migration plans for moving workloads from existing enterprise hosting environments into OCI.
• Support OCI server provisioning and configuration according to enterprise architecture and security standards.
• Use Tanium to collect and analyze server inventory, operating systems, installed Java versions, installation paths, application associations, and configuration information.
• Support OCI components including Compute, Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Subnets, Routing, Security Lists, Network Security Groups, Block and File Storage, IAM, DNS, Backup, Monitoring, and Logging.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• OCI Architect Associate/Professional certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience with OCI migration tools and automation.
• Knowledge of Oracle Java licensing and remediation initiatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise change-management and ITIL processes.
• Experience with large-scale data-center-to-cloud migration programs.
• Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
