Job Title: Packaging Line Leader – Electronics Manufacturing.

Location: Richardson, TX - Onsite

Duration: Fulltime and Permanent

Pay Ranges: $24.00 - $28.00/hour - Non Exempt

Working hours: Initially, there will only be one shift, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, the company plans to transition to a three-shift schedule in the future. Therefore, candidates should ideally be flexible and open to working any of the three shifts.

NOTE: There will be a 1 to 2 Month training in Thailand once hired.

About the Opportunity

An optical communications manufacturer is seeking a Packaging Line Leader to oversee daily packaging operations for optical transceivers. This hands-on role coordinates line activities, trains operators, and ensures products meet packaging, labeling, quality, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily packaging activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet production schedules and output targets.
• Verify product labels, serial numbers, packaging materials, and quantities against work instructions and production requirements.
• Ensure proper handling, ESD protection, sealing, and packaging of optical transceivers to prevent damage and maintain product traceability.
• Train and guide operators on packaging procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Resolve minor equipment issues within authorized procedures and escalate maintenance needs or recurring problems to the appropriate team.
• Monitor inventory of boxes, ESD-protective bags, labels, and other packaging supplies to prevent shortages.
• Maintain accurate production records and report output, defects, downtime, and material discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or college coursework is a plus.
• Two to four years of packaging experience in electronics or high-tech manufacturing, including at least one year in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of ESD protection, packaging quality controls, and product labeling and traceability.
• Strong communication, team coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production tracking or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
