Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure as code.
• Automate deployment and configuration processes using CI/CD methodologies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades and optimizations.
• Lead cross-functional teams in architecture discussions and strategic planning.
• Establish and maintain best practices in cloud operations and DevOps methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in modern DevOps practices.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation and standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging DevOps technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps or related areas.
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
• Effective communication skills and experience working in an agile environment.

Technologies & Tools

The Principal DevOps Engineer at SafeBase will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, and Prometheus.
