Job Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment and modernization of existing applications and workloads to AWS cloud services.
• Design and implement cloud architectures using AWS best practices, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
• Coordinate with development and operations teams to optimize cloud solutions, enhancing automation and CI/CD practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical designs and solutions.
• Monitor cloud trends to identify and leverage new services that can drive additional value for clients.
• Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of deployed applications to ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in cloud architecture, with a significant focus on AWS services.
• Expert knowledge of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and cloud security standards.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and delivering complex cloud projects on time and within budget.
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is preferred.

The Principal/Lead AWS Cloud Modernization Engineer will work extensively with a range of technologies and tools, including but not limited to Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
