About the Role:

As a Production Manager at GMT, you will oversee the team that manufactures and installs our composting equipment. You will play a critical role, ensuring products meet quality specs, client timelines and stay within budget. You will work closely with a tight knit team of production staff, project managers and engineers to ensure our designs are built to the highest quality.

·      Full time in-person salaried position, currently based out of Poulsbo, WA

·      Manage production team (3 – 6 FTE)

·      Bridge the gap between client needs and production

·      Meet and manage production timelines

·      Oversee health and safety of production team

·      Optimize workflow and improve quality while lowering costs

·      Keep the shop organized and optimized

·      Improve processes around stock management, ordering and shipping

·      Support as needed with manufacturing, design and R&D

Skills:

Management

o  At least 3 years of management experience

o  Comfortable delegating tasks and supporting staff to do their best work

o  Experience project managing complex projects and ability to oversee in house project management staff

o  Experience forecasting parts and labor

o  Willingness to hire and fire employees

Production and Manufacturing experience

o  At least 3 years of experience working in fabrication and manufacturing

o  Able to read and interpret drawings and QA/QC products

o  Understanding of GD&T principles for manufacturability, cost and assembly

o  Experience managing inventory, vendors and shop spaces

o  Understand welding, wiring and construction

Organization

o  You are a systems thinker, looking to improve automate whenever possible

o  You recognize recurring tasks or challenges

o  Detail oriented and excellent at documentation

Nice To Have

·      Engineering experience: Ability to work with engineering team to improve design, run R&D and value engineer

·      Controls experience: Understand how to create wiring diagrams, build panels and create electrical systems.

Compensation

$90,000 to $120,000 a year based on experience. HSA coverage, performance based bonusing, and cell phone reimbursement also included. Base compensation is a mix of profit sharing and salary.
